It has some bad spots in it, but not noticeable unless you see it in person.

First 2 painted parts! I'm happy to see them. He will do the top side of the front frame section and a bunch of smaller things this afternoon. They have some other things going through the paint both right now.

Pics asap Kenny!

More coming right now, but not Orange! I'll have those in the morning! Currently working on the rear wheels. Had to take the tires off the wheels to fix inside rust as I hope to 'load' these tires soon.

One wheel was in real good shape, other than rust around the inside bead. The other was nasty! Wire wheeled them down abnd shot the Rust Reformer on them. Let them sit the required 24 hours and sprayed the inner portions of the wheels. Since the one was in decent shape, I used Rustoleum Appliance Epoxy in Almond on the interiors. Nearly a perfect match to the original paint (these are Cub wheels).

2015-09-29 14.14.07.jpg

After that had set for 6~hours, I mounted the tires.

2015-09-29 14.29.52.jpg

I needed a shield for them and couldn't find my old one. So, out came a large carton and a couple arcs were drawn on a 6" radius. Hard to see them in the pic.

2015-09-29 14.39.37.jpg

Cut the cartons out. The extra allows for overlap.

2015-09-29 14.43.11.jpg

Here's a 'shield in place on the first wheel.

2015-09-29 14.48.02.jpg

All painted on that side and shield removed.

2015-09-29 14.52.15.jpg

Next wheel!

2015-09-29 14.52.31.jpg     2015-09-29 14.58.09.jpg

That side is done. I'll do the other side in the morning!

2015-09-29 14.59.10.jpg

Outside color is the Appliance Epoxy Biscuit!

Those looks nice.

We get large boxes of small plastic cups in at work, they have a poster board like card board between the layers. Since we throw it away, I just take it home and it makes for great around the wheel shields or any other paint shields for that matter.

I added a few more parts to the staging area this morning. I am basically waiting 36+ hours after paint for further cure time if needed. May get to start assembly tomorrow morning! :dancingbanana:

May not get to paint anything today as the temps are not warming at all. Still only 66° right now.

Does the epoxy appliance paint work better or what I mean hold up on a working machine better then regular spray paint like Rustoleum ?

It seems to work pretty good. I would give them a few days drying before putting weights on though. I haven't seen much dulling like normal spray paint does.

It's assembly time!!!! :dancingbanana:  Started with the front frame section. Got the axle installed.

2015-10-01 11.43.35.jpg

Nex came the tires and front foot rest mount.

2015-10-01 12.39.37.jpg

Flipped it over and set down on the floor to attach the rear axle mount.

2015-10-01 13.14.47.jpg

Rear axle is in.

2015-10-01 13.50.23.jpg

Put the seat pedestal on. The parking brake is hooked up along with the Hi/Lo lever. The foot boards are sitting there waiting to be installed.

2015-10-01 17.05.17.jpg

Tomorrow, I'll put a whole bunch more together!
