Geez, almost a year to the day to hear her run!

Guess the ol GM module still works. Took a little to get gas back in the carb, and choke cable came off carb, so had to run choke by hand.

I got Grandma out today to lift an engine. She was a little hard to start, but eventually stayed running.

Little video of starting and running the big "B" plus some pics of the engine, and the HT.

She still runnin, smokes like a sum-beam but eventually it dies down!

The engine is a New Way from Lansing Michigan. Rated 5 hp, 800-900 rpm Kero, or gas. Doesn't have the original mag as far as I can tell, but still cool, and HUGE for 5 ponies. Took the pic next to the B for a size comparison, and it makes my Wisconsin twin that I have tucked away look small.

Sory for the sideways photos, darn cell pics.

Cheers;)

Ah, how cool!! I absolutely love that old girl.  What a neat setup. A large frame with a loader is just too cool.

Thanks for the great footage. It's not often we get the see and hear these machines in action online. I could watch her working for hours.   Thanks for sharing.

Problems I now face are, 1, I bought this strickly for SOME yard work, but mainly lifting small engines to save my back. 2, I just recently picked up the HT, and I have been thinking of putting the loader on that because 3, the 1455 smokes. She got plenty of stompin, shaft twistin, thumper torque, but the loader on the 23 would be nice power wise, and just an all round nicer rig. If I do the swap, Id probably redo the loader, and repower the 1455??

So many projects, SO little time;)
