We came home with this 1963 Cub Cadet Orginal, has complete grill, including IH imblem and is only missing steering wheel and kohler engine.

Very nice, tell your dad I am jealous. The only other thing I see missing is the hood ornament. The hood has a couple dings in it but they look like it would easily be straightened. At the rate you guys are going all the garden tractors will be in Texas.

Electric start was an option. But almost every Original I've seen has the Starter Genny.
I guess the price difference was a no-brainer between Electric start and Pull start.

If there isn't a pulley connected to the Flywheel under that Recoil starter then you are going to have to find one.
It uses a short belt that goes down to the Driveshaft and will go on a pulley under that Recoil starter.
Even if there isn't a pulley it's a good price for a complete running K161s.

Well the manual shows Both Starter Generator And Recoil starter.

Here's what the pulley should look like.

Sorry, couldn't help myself.

Looks real similar to most I've seen. Don't you just love aftermarket parts?
