It's a good idea to start with a plan and stick to it.

But, now that he has gotten this far, he might as well install the hardware and wait for the fight to begin.

I told you that it would not work. It is for the other side of the hall. Same guy that threw away all the nails turned the other way claiming they were for the other side of the roof.

30 years in carpentry and that does not suprise me, today if they have a pick up truck and a hammer they are a contractor.

Hmmmmm ...... can't really make to much fun of this because, well , uh, oh my, we kinda, well almost did something like it it  a few years back.                          Roger

My wife used to set me up in years past..  She didn't like the dual window in the kitchen..  I came home after work to find a gaping hole above the kitchen sink..  Just as I said What thaaa..  She said- don't worry, I bought a new one-  All you have to do is put it in..  She opened the store room door and lo and behold there was a single wide window she wanted up it..  It's the same height she said!!  I growled-  Can you stretch the thing sideways?   :mad2:   So the rest of the day was spend building two side wall sections and then hanging it.   :wallbanging:

Her next little improvement project was a doozy..  Her brother (who is mentally challenged from a serious car wreck) tried to replace a window on the back porch..  When I got home after work (again!) he was fighting with it and somehow got only one of the windows to fit into the skewed window casing!  I looked at the single window stuffed in the crooked frame and he said-  I got the window in there but I can't get the other one in there..   :loosing_it:  :hitting_self_roller:

I shook my head and went to the fridge to grab a beer,,  My wife and I got a good chuckle out of that one then we sent him home and I re-hung it..   **I seriously considered not ever working another Saturday that she would be around!
