My parents love cats. Not my thing but they are sweet animals. They have had a rough 2 years. They lost 2 last year to cancer(stomach and lung) and last week they found out another has a brain tumor. She was doing OK for a few days but last night she took a turn for the worse. They are taking her to be put to sleep as I type this.

Dad is taking it hard. Please say a little prayer for them. Even if you don't like cats I'm sure many of you know the pain of losing a pet and how they are part of your family.

I have a cat. Sorry for their loss. It's hard when you lose any pet, no matter what type it is. People get attached to them, just like humans. Noel

Thanks guys. Talked to mom and she has calmed down. Dad really takes it hard. He treats the animals as I thegbwere furry children. Every night he has a bowl of cereal and the one they just had put to sleep sat on the arm if the chair till he was done and he left her have the milk.

I. Hate cats!!! That being said we have two that the wife and daughter absolutely love , I have two dogs that are my boys. Losing a pet is losing a member of the family and I feel for them and their loss.

I really feel for your dad.  I just lost my little doxie, of 16 years, the one in my avatar, a month ago.  I still have my brown doxie of 9 years, and just got another black and tan one, 7 weeks old.  That does help a lot.  I call my girls "partners in life".  I'm 71 and I cried like a baby.  But as I'm finding out, time does heal all wounds.

While not a big cat fan, the ones my wife brought home 8 years ago are slowly becoming less annoying...
I'd doesn't matter if the pet is a cat, dog, goldfish, snake, rock, etc... If you love them, it's a sad day when they get called home.

Let your parents know there's a family in NW Pa that is saying a prayer for them tonight.
