Had this sitting around for a long time. I know I have seen them for sale at shows and what not. Also I know that type and condition and location are key. I was just wondering if there were anybody who knows railroad stuff to help me out? Thanks in advance.

There's one guy for sure, but he's on the road right now, moving his household.

Lantern like everything else in life , price depends on several things .

Condition is one , is it a plain generic light or is a RR embossed in the lens or stamped on it somewhere . Some railroads are more desirable than others to a collector . RR lights that have a RR on them like UP , C&O , B&O , L&N etc . generally brings more than one that has none .

I've been out of the lamp collecting for a while , but 15 years ago I know the going price was anywhere from $45- $200 depending on condition and what RR that was or wasn't stamped on them .

Like I said its been a while , but I'd check ebay to see what there going for now , and remember that asking and getting prices are always two different things .

Thanks Jlaws. As you can see from the pics it is a "generic" no markings. I did a little research and found some mostly on eBay. Prices for the same globe and no markings ranged from 45 to 130ish prices haven't changed a whole lot in 20 yrs.. Thanks for the info!!
