Mine is not lifted, it's tall enough without it, here's a pic.

I had a 97 5.9. That thing drank gas like out was going out of style. Drive like an old lady going to church or like you were in a race car 8 to 10 mlg. Never better never worse.

Loved that truck but I couldn't take it anymore. Kept it 6 months

I get 8.5 driving easy or hard or empty or pulling a load but it has tremendous pulling power and that is what I bought it for, that and the 5 speed Allison.

FYI there is reason I have toyota for daily drivers..We changed exhaust manifold on sons '89. No surprises, every bolt we cracked loose turned out. My '91 toyota I had to remove compressor pulley to change bearing,,,could not believe i had pulley on work bench in ten minutes!  The quality of the hardware toyota uses is far superior to what you find on the other big name brands auto.  JMHO

Since this thread has gone wild this is a tacoma i did a work under the frame recall no bolts came out of this and considering we do 3-5 frames a week it's very common.

That's a taco with swiss cheese! My '91 daily driver is rust free but the frame on my '92 parts truck is similar to the one your picture. This pic is passenger side,,,.. I thought it prudent to buy a parts truck recently when the local pick a part closed.

We had an '02 Tacoma lose it's fuel tank while traveling north on Rt 13 about 3 years ago, the whole cross member just rotted in two.

That was a 2007 access cab truck. That turned into a month long project, by the time we were done with it the owner spent 10,000 in parts beside what the recall covered.
