20HD-02 was the little Ride-a-Matic , this one likely a 1957
It should just read "Ride-a-Matic" on the hood not Super

Should have a Koher K91 Originally 3.6HP

All it has on the hood is Ride-a-Matic. No super there. It has a large hole in the hood right above the area where the Super would be. Another hole in front. Will post more Photos later this evening. From the photos, brake set up, etc. it looked like the Super?

Thats correct for that tractor, these were another model available at the time the Super Ride-a-Matic was made, the K91 had the oil bath air cleaner though the hood

These models also would have had recoil start

The 20HD is the only one I need to complete my "Round hood" Ride-a-Matic Collection, I'm jealous! :D

Also note the Bronze reverse disc compared to the fiber disc like the rest of them had

Now things are adding up a little.
This one has the dual band brakes. Why in the world would they go away from that to a plate you press against a belt for "brakes"? Everything else matches the super but the hood. Oh well, It is what it is and nothing is going to change that. So I guess from now on it will be a Lil Ride-a-matic.

I think that B&S engine is more than 4hp.

B&S 4 hp would be model 100xxx.

B&S 5hp would be model 130xxx.

B&S 6hp would be model 142xxx or 142xxx.  (some were advertised as 5-3/4hp)

B&S 7hp would be model 170xxx.

B&S 8hp would be model 190xxx.

It is a 6 hp Briggs. Got it running this evening, not super great but running.

The model 20HD-02 which is a 56 model year had the smaller front axle the model 20HD-03 57 model year and the model 200 which is a 58 model year both had the wider front axle. The model 21HD-01 super ride-a-Matic had the same width axle as the 20HD-03 and 200

Was there any design differences between a 20HD-01 and 20HD-02?

Now that you mention it, I dont think they did! Pretty strange to start a model at an -02 series!

Not a clear pic due to weather conditions (light rain) but Mom is checking out the long nosed, dual motor RAM.   Mom on Ram.JPG
