Hi everyone, I have a MF 10 with a Tecumseh HH100 engine. Not sure of the year but it is in excellent condition with a mowing deck and rototiller. Anyway, I have it running but it runs rough and after warm up, if you turn it off, it will not start right back up. I've searched for parts, and even tried to find people in my area with a parts engine but I never get any responses. The points and point push rod is what I need the most along with a coil. Have any of you upgraded these engines with newer parts, or is it time to find a new engine that will fit in the engine compartment. I love this old mower, I love Massey Ferguson brand equipment, but what should I do? What would you do??

Welcome to GTT!!
Tecumseh is no longer making engines and parts for some of the older equipment are a little hard to find but most are still available.
The Breaker points and push rod were originally sold as a set and I can still get those (Limited supply) , The points themselves can be crossed to a Kohler part that is readily available when the originals are gone
Coils are Obsolete but there is a NOS one on ebay right now and the price is about average list for them
We would love to see some pictures of your machine when you get a chance!
Lots of tractor enthusiasts here!

When you are talking with the site sponsors, be certain to add in a condenser if yours has one and a basic tune up kit for the carb would be a good idea as well.
