I know it's not what most people want on any given day, but any rain is good rain, and it's been a while.

Forest fires through out the north western part of the country have caused severe health risks for those with breathing problems. The smoke was compared to the smog in Beijing. The rain will help that, and it just feels good.

I'm up high, and the city storm systems work pretty good.

And it sounds like it's going to be an awesome storm.I love a Glorious Thunder Storm But, my dog doesn't..

I went and stood in it for a few minutes just to feel it. It was nice

Wow, sounds like Central Texas back in 2011. Smoke in the sky and temps in the 100's for more than 60 days. Lot's of BIG fires. I was praying for rain, any rain that year. There was no mowing to speak of that year. 2015 has been one of the wetest years here so far, but getting hot now.

Glad to hear that your getting rain. The smoke was even really bad here in Manitoba from all the fires from the west of us.Had a awful smell to it,and made it look like it was foggy everyday.

It's been miserable here, I can only Imagine how bad it is north and west of here. They are pulling them out by chopper in Jasper.

Northern Saskatchewan hasn't been doing well either.

Until today when the wind direction changed we have had haze and smoke smell here in N. Michigan for about 5 days from the Canada fires. Glad you are getting the much needed rain. Stay safe.                                                                                                                                                                           Roger
