I found a Cub Cadet model 71. Was gonna ask guy if he would sell it. What price should I offer without offending him? It is missing a front wheel and starter generator. Engine turns over by hand that's all I know. It appears to have deck.
Thanks

50-75 bucks is about as much as I would  choke up for that old girl. I see the deck is minus the blades as well. It has no options such as a creeper gear, fenders or headlights. That would be a nice little machine with a little elbow grease. I used to own one myself and regret parting ways with it.

the boys are right.  $50-$75.   parts are missing for a reason.  It could be fixed, but would need lots more parts.

From the one picture it looks like the PTO engagement arm and linkage is also missing . If it was me $50 would be a fair price because of all the missing items . Be sure to ask if he has the missing parts in a box or stored somewhere because from experience they sometimes forget they have them  . I'd be sure to point out all the missing parts and wouldn't worry about offending him ..
