Starting to collect pieces for my 62 Cub Original build. Question about sleeve hitches.....

Will the sleeve hitch from a narrow frame model work on an Original frame?

If not, can it be reasonably adapted - For example, the casting is the same, but you would need to modify the bracket that mounts it.....

what parts would have to be modified?

While I have seen a couple Original hitch sets, seems like the Narrow frame ones are much more common....

Thanks in advance!

The Original rear sleeve lift is unique to that model . Its casting and bar that goes between the lift handle and casting are different as is the lift spring assist  .

The narrow frames that were made after the Original used a similar but different cast part and bar and aren't interchangeable and I don't think you could modify the cast part to work . Also the narrow frame bar is shorter than the one on a Original and is straight while the Original bar has a bend ..

First picture is a Original  , second picture is a 70 or 100

I have seen reproductions of Original rear  lifts on ebay and know someone is making them .

There is an original sleeve hitch on eBay for about $205 with free shipping. Search "cub cadet hitch"
