We discussed this in another thread that I can't find at the moment. I know the Fords has a definite whine with this combo and my Sears FF's don't using the same tranny. Besides the clocking difference, another thing just struck me. Sears has the fill port hidden by the frame and used a tube out and up to fill with. This also lets you put in about a quart more fluid. Could that be what takes the whine out? I may have to add some in the Ford to see what happens. Have to go get some first!

BMP always had a slight whine, more so when towing the shed or car. Every once and a while when starting off (no load) I would hear a distinct "click" I assumes a pressure relief never heard the click under load. https://www.youtube....h?v=O-ZVpneZ778

I miss BMP!
