I blame all  this on the news people and politicians ---slow day lets falsely  blow something out of proportion and run with it and  have a BIG NEWS DAY---news sells--and politicians grubbing for votes

I agree with all of you---- And sadly history will be rewritten someday--The whole thing pisses me off.

I was aware there were multiple flags as well as capitols, adopted by the Confederacy, the first is generally most recognized. Born and raised in northeastern NC near a battlefield, and with my parents being from Alabama, I appreciate southern heritage.

Mosby aka; The Gray Ghost, and Quantrill, were amazingly skilled cavalry officers and raiders, as was Stonewall Jackson on a larger scale with infantry. But Mosby and Quantrill were the best in the business at hitting you tonight before dark, then hit you a hundred miles away at sunup. Quantrill got a bad rap for the actions of some of his men after the war, but not deserved.

I feel for you guys on the other side of the world.

Huff puff lets blow the house down....

We are not allowed to fly our old flag and lately the statutes in remembrance of our past, like the Anglo Boer War (from both sides) are desecrated. Why this is now an issue is beyond my small brain...

Just stand in wonder looking at this movie playing off...

I added my signature to read this "T'hell with the Alamo, dont forget General Order 11,August 25, 1863.. It could happen to you"

For the guys that say "that happened 152 years ago, things are different now", I know 2 sod farmers that got told " We ARE building a school on your land and we need 40 acres. Here is $40,000 now STFU and GTFO"

Hope they dont decide to change any highway near you, or want to build a school, or rapid transit mono rail, street car, parking lot..... etc

You dont own your land... you lease it from the feds via tax payments. If you dont believe me.. miss a few and see what happens

There is support and respect up here in the north for the flag banning nonsense going on in other parts of the country in the name of "political correctness" (without education or common sense).

This is the police officers patch from Gettysburg, South Dakota. Officials there say no plans will happen to remove the stars and bars from the cities uniforms. Civil war veterans from BOTH sides came together to form this community and respect is being shown for all the founders!

I was born and raised up here in western South Dakota, BUT my Dad was from Georgia and I spent a lot of younger days in the real south! My Aunt was paralized at a young age but became one of Georgia's leading historians of the Civil War. She was the Curator of the "Museum of the Confederacy" for several decades in Crawfordville, GA, the families home town and the home of the Vice President of the Confederacy, A. H. Stephens. All my direct southern relatives are gone now but I still love the area and heritage, and "I ain't just-a-whistlin' Dixie"!

This is the Confederate flag, the idiots screaming don't even know what they're talking about! They're fussing over the Battler Flag of The Army of Northern Virginia, also adopted by other units later.

Yeah, I fess up, I'm one of the two percenters west of the Rockies but never fell for this  liberal California crap. A while back the city of Los Angeles was forced  to remove a cross from it's city seal because it was deemed 'offensive' by the A.C.L.U..  That same seal had been fine since 1957 but now it's offensive??? I just don't get it.
