The tag on the bolster says 95000~ roughly so that makes it a 1949 model year. We did all the obvious and checked all its levels and topped them off. Then we used up all the battery we had charged (off the other Cub and it wasn't that great to begin with). So Dad and I unloaded it at our buddy's shop where we left it last night as there is a lot of room to pull start. A few rounds of pulling and a few tweeks every now and then and we had it running good. It smokes a little and first is pretty noisy, more so than the 1954 Cub we have, but it does go. We did not bring it home today, but we did park it inside our buddy's shop as his tractor is not there currently. So now we will watch the race on TV.
