Looking for a used weight distribution hitch.

Shouldn't have sold mine with the travel trailer! :wallbanging:

Never used one.Do they make a big difference? Do they have to be somewhat sized for the load you are hauling?

Yes, they make a BIG difference, and yes, you need to adjust for the amount of load you have.

An anti-sway attachment is also a must item.....BUT...be sure to remove this item before backing the trailer...Not much problem straight, but the anti-sway attachment can double up when backing and turning. A friend warned me about this, and I have always removed mine if backing.

Had one on the stock trailer. Got rid of it too.
Always found that I could counter most of that by shifting the load when needed.

Maybe try RV dealers to see if they have any used ones or try calling some campgrounds .  I have an extra but those things are so heavy to ship I'm sure you can find one near by

They definitely are a big help when pulling any of the larger size campers or trailers.  I forget the brand of the one I had but it had the two weight distribution bars and sway bars all in one.

I've got two.   Too bad I didn't know sooner.

You could have got them when you were up this way picking up  a Choremaster.

Sent you a couple P.M.s                         Rick

I have a spare if you are going to be around the Dayton, OH, area any time soon.  It's just the receiver though, no bars, brackets, chains, etc.

Who wants to climb a set of stairs to get in thing.  And then another set to get to the bedroom where you can't stand up.  And then push a sheet of plywood down the road over the cab of your tow vehicle.  Would never own a 5th wheel to use.  Last one I had I junked out and made a hay trailer out of the frame and wheels.  Our camper is the older style and has one step between the ground and camper floor.
