Bought this "John Deere" knife dethatcher today and have been searching for any image of a similar one so that I can get a picture of how it looks complete, owners manual, etc. There is a JD decal, but the unit has been repainted and I can't confirm if it actually is a JD as there are no other information labels. Neither can I see where the height adjustment is at. All assistance and informative input is appreciated. Unit was purchased in Ontario Canada.

That is cool. What does the little tag near the left handle say?  Did you look in our Manuals Section? Good Luck, Rick

Thats a warning tag which says "Engage Blades Only While On Turf" or something similar. It's a monsoon here and it's probably under 6" of water about now so I'll check tomorrow and report back if different. :D

Found a clone at an auction site under the makers name "Ryan", although that might be erroneous as well.

Looks like an old Bluebird...they've made them forever, and probably for other brands.

Cool find no matter the brand.  Is there another color under the green?
