Went to harbor freight today and got myself my very first paint gun. Plan on going back and getting a few things for my air tank and then getting some paint to tinker with.

Be sure to get a good respirator. 40 years ago they came out with a new paint that they warned to use a respirator(we had just been using dust masks and painting in big open garages). One of my brother's friends tried the stuff with just a dusk mask in a small garage. It killed him in a couple of days. Figure on 10 hours of preparation for 1/2 hour of spraying. When you get the prep right it is alot easier. Practice on a couple of small projects. Stay out of direct sun light. Clean all the equipment immediately after finishing. Enjoy how much better it looks. Good Luck, Rick

Them Hvlp guns work nice , saves on the paint too--no huge clouds of overspray that's just wasted paint.Took me a while to get used to mine and I never used the old Binks spray gun again
