Found a 60's era Springfield recently, I think it may be a model 36, haven't had time to do much with it, just put it away for now, looks complete, but needs some attention. I put this in this forum because I think Wheel Horse bought out Springfield in 66 ??

Welcome to GTT. That is a nice find. I don't know about Springfield and Wheelhorse but someone with more knowledge will be along. Check out our Manuals Section(3 free downloads per day) for info on your machine. Good Luck, Rick

There are a few members here with SF machines.

Member wvbuzzmaster is a Springfield addict and loves these machines.
I believe you're right on the model 36 designation, but he will be able to give you a specific year and if Bob or Sam worked on it by how the bolts are turned. (I'm kidding, but you get the idea)
Lots of members here with info, :welcome: to GTtalk

Oh, and the SF posts tend to go into the "Other" due to fewer of them being out there.

Welcome to GTtalk!

I can't say I know anything about a Springfield. Great to see another Pa member.

Welcome to GTTalk. You have a 1962 Springfield in gret original condition. The Quick MFG company (Springfield) was bought out by Toro late 1966. If you need help with the SF let me know.

PS, my SF posts are usually in the general Garden Tractor Forum area since I like lots of traffic lol.
