Spent the previous weekend in NJ running an estate sale. Pretty straight forward job. The night before the sale, the owner says she has a friend with a garage full of tools and was wondering if I'd like to take a look and perhaps purchase some items. That smell of burning rubber you may have smelled was the rear tires of my Silverado :D

Anyhoo, it's only 5 minutes away. The house is a turn of the century stucco and the garage is a block walled four bay :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: ................"and visions of sugar plums danced through my head".

So the doors go up and it's just a wall of stuff. I see a 60's fast back MG, tons of tools. Old ones, hand ones, power ones. A lathe, drill press, reloaders, old toys. A hand made cedar canoe that was just stunning. And then, in the second bay, right on top, towards the back.........I see these two vintage, embossed tin, wood framed signs. They're both pretty big, too. I'll let the pics tell the story. I wound up purchasing these and as much as my p/u could carry. Made an agreement with the owner to do a buyout/clean out in the near future.

MG? What MG? :smilewink: j/k, it's actually a pretty cool ride, Roger. It's in primer and the interior is gutted, but the tin is solid and real straight.

But it was the signs that really made my day.....week.....month :D

I'm thinking the LoBoy is a '73. I also have a '49 and a later 184. I really love those 4 poppers. Not too fond of the 3 speed though.

We should have a contest to see which of the two signs is more popular. You could give the winner a People's Choice trophy.

Wow! Signs look brand new!  I bet never were posted or used outside of any building at least. I bet weren't cheap.  If the guy has a garage full of valuable stuff, HE knows what it's worth and be pricey items I bet. Course, if he's old and dieing or something like that, he might make a good deal, who knows??   I hate when people have good "things" and really no use for them and just collect and pile up stuff all their life. Wonder if this is some "retirement" plan that is never talked about, ha! Only ones get the benefits are usually the kids or remainder family members cashing in on the Hoarder's paradise when he's gone.

At first, I was worried about the credibility of the news, considering the source. But after checking other sources, I found out it was true.
