Are you talking about a sickle section or knife? if so they are riveted in place, it might be a good idea to check the complete sickle bar gor any other lose sections and if so tighen them using a large ball peen hammer and an anvil (heavy solid bar etc)

I'll have a look for sure, it's sad because it's a bran-new blade with less then 5 hours on it.

Hi yea the happens sometimes a rock can get in there and cause problems or one runs into a piece of metal or something you didn't see, that happened to me lucky it stopped the mower and it didn't do any serious damage.
