Hoping I can join ranks with this premier group of collectors, as I just laid $100 down on my first Amigo.

I have been searching for an Amigo since I learned of them, as they were locally built here in SW MI.  This forum has been the best (and most accurate) source of info on them, and the downloads taken from GTT are greatly appreciated.  I hope to begin touching base with some other owners.

Since I don't have it home yet, I'm limited in on pictures, but it is this tractor, formerly owned by Aaron Davis (GTT member - 'CarryAll'), and purchased from his estate auction by my PO, whom I have known for some time.

So, though it is not an elusive barn find, it does have some fine pedigree, and I can say it came form the family of the designer.  It should make a fine showpiece and neighborhood buttbuggy!

I was able to give it a drive last nite, and that drive system is a real slick deal!  The Kohler purrs like a kitten and the machine is in super shape.  I would love any information on the rear 3pt attachments, as I would like to come up with something to use/display on the rear (I do NOT have the plow pictured...would a Sears work?).  I would LOVE to build a replica CarryAll, as it would be the most useful to me.

I'll have to post pics when I'm able to get back over there and retrieve it.  It was a late-day Father's Day surprise to hear form the seller, after we had talked in previous weeks, and I had made him an offer that will mean some Simplicity/AC stuff is now for sale.  :toilethead:

Father's Day is really becoming a nice day for me!  1 year ago, I sealed the deal on my NOS Allis forklift...this year, the Amigo I've chased for years.  I'm hoping to care for it as Mr Davis did, and enjoy the conversations it stirs for a long time.

Awesome, just awesome

I thought the Amigos used a slot hitch?

Edit:
I see the three point in some pics. Huh.
Easy enough to build a three point to sleeve hitch adapter until you find a workable plow or other attachment.

Im not super familiar with their inplements or options. I know electric start was an option on the model 99, which mine does not have. The 3pt is listed as an option. Someone here was making repops of them. Not much to it from what i can tell.

It was a gorgeous morning...about 60*, calm and sunny. I took both my boys to make the pickup around 8am. That gives dad some truck-ride/sing-along time while they are in their best mood of the day, and momma gets to sleep in, assuring her best mood of the day! =)

It was a windows down, deer, tractor and cow counting kinda ride! My favorite!

Well....I ran the trash out to the curb last nite in my sweats, all ready to relax before bed, and had to swing through the shop to peek for leaking Briggs updraft carbs, and of course, to admire the Amigo.

Ended up sitting on it making engine sounds for about 5 minutes, just like my 2 year old does.  I still love it...makes me feel like a kid.  Fun how this hobby has that effect...
