Since the first show of the year was postponed from rain, rain, and more rain,  this weekend is the new first show of the season.

I finally got the Executive running/driving just last night, and decided to take it - and the S14 Speedex.

The Speedex had other ideas so I had to make a substitution.

The weatherman says 93F tomorrow and heat index of around 103F,  so I decided two was a plenty.

Here is my load. Both tractors would have fit in the full size pickup but this van has two air conditioners!

Yes, but I'm taking two loads to my first show!   :D   This is the first load:  HPIM1705.JPG

I'll take this load in early, then, I'll come back home for the 40S:  HPIM1704.JPG

And, I'll be in the shade!   :dancingbanana:

Have fun but, with that kind of heat, have plenty of cold water and shade. Good Luck, Rick      PICTURES ARE REQUIRED

Speedex decide to be out of tune for ya?  Mine seem to need the carb tweaked everytime I get on it. Get it running great and next day back to rough again. NOW I've been just letting it run rough and when it warms it seems to clean up and be better. Darn those big Briggs Updraft carbs!

Nice looking trailer & tractors!

I went to the 1st GT show at Evansville last weekend...Probably 450 +/- garden tractors there.

What is the red jalopy behind the trailer?

Its a homemade car that was built for the MRS's second cousin.  He was diagnosed with cancer at age 15 [in 1981] and the doc cut his right leg off trying to stop the spread of the disease.  His dad and grandpa built this car for him [with no controls for the right foot] to help lift his spirits.

Here is a short thread on what its made of:

Maybe I'm a little weird   :poke:    but what I thought was the best thing at the show was a Crosley car converted to a fire truck.  There were lots of great things at the show,  this was just my fav.

Also had a friend that was displaying a John Deere H.  He let me drive his H around the show grounds.  Deere was the featured brand @ this show.   I always kind of thought I wanted an "L" or an "H" if I owned a Deere.  Two years ago I got to drive an L and that broke me of ever wanting to own one of those.  Keep in mind I'm over 6 foot tall and very near 300 lbs.  The H fits me very well and I'll keep an eye out for one of my own locally.

Well,  that and/or an Oliver 60, and maybe a Massey Harris Pony and definately a Minneacrapolis Moline YT.  :smilewink:

The Crosley fire truck was there several years ago, supposed to be the one originally from here!  If I remember right they told me they got it from Smithville FD.

The Lions Club at Cameron had a Crosley expanded into a mini semi that I saw many years ago but don't think this was it.  I believe it was a flatbed.  Been too long to remember.

Gtractor, there is a YT MM in my MM show spread here. It is one inside the tent. Looks pretty much like an R, but has YT letters down in front on side of rad.  Not many of those around at all, they were bought back by MM because of problems and probly junked then too. A few snuck out of the trip and have been saved, but NOT many.
