Kohler M20 horizontal twin engine, Spec. 49533, 1-1/4" PTO crank OD #52-014-71-S
Complete with front PTO clutch, starter, newer carb and fuel pump, cold air cleaner assembly, engine tins, and muffler.
This was pulled from a running GT20. Hours estimated at less than 900. Hour meter stopped working 2 years prior due to the electrical fairies which plague these systems and it was stopped at 720. This engine is complete, but like anything else a little TLC will go a long way. (cleaning, gaskets, plugs, etc) These are very hard to find intact and parts are worth their weight in gold. New crank is $890, Ariens PTO is over $600, etc. Engine is still in crate as received. I originally purchased it for a drop-in on one of my GT18's, but opted to completely rebuild the M18 and keep both tractors identical one another. The newer Kohler commands cannot even come close to the torque and longevity of these Magnums which is why I invested in rebuilding mine from scratch.
Asking $750. A rebuilt Magnum 20 would run upwards of $1500 and if you can find a new one, it would be well over $2000. For pick up only in Northeast Ohio. May consider trade options in the form of a super clean 42" or 48" mower deck for the Ariens GT series, front end loader (either drop in or something which can be retrofitted),
