I have 2 1655 one with 3 pt and pto on it and the other with the motor that runs and deck that works .how bad would it be to put the rearend out of the parts machine in the good machine so i have all the toys on one so i can use the roto tiller i just picked up:wallbanging:

Sounds like a reasonable idea, however, I would pull the parts tractors rearend and inspect it thoroughly before trying to swap it in, but other than that it should fit (not an expert).

:ditto: Switching motors does sound like the lesser of two evils unless there are other reasons not to do so.

My understanding was it is a "parts tractor" and I know what that can mean, picked clean. I don't know for sure what his looks like, but that was my interpretation of the situation.

When you have 2 the same just take all the best parts from both and make 1, done this a few times myself.

i already repainted the other one it was in better condition but that might be easier
