June is the start of canyon fishing in NJ, warm water eddies break off from the gulf stream some two hundred miles off our coast and make their way inshore to the continental shelf of NJ. Along with the 82 degree water come the pelagic species of fish tuna, swordfish, wahoo, white marlin and blue marlin. These fish congregate in the canyons off our coast 88 to 110 miles out in reach of our diesel powered boats. We make these forays into the deep on overnight trips here's what it looks like note color of water. (Spencer CIMG_1011.JPG IMG_1013.JPG IMG_1014.JPG anyon) Oh yea that's me putting the boots to a 60lb yellow fin tuna.
