I don't think I ever posted these here, but I restored a model 86 quite a while ago....12 years maybe? These pictures are when I had first completed it.

After these were taken I installed a sleeve hitch, wheel weights and a creeper drive. For years I brought this to shows with a Haban sicklebar mower attachment. Once we bought our farm, this tractor went to work. I installed a 42" deck and I use it for mowing around our Christmas trees (around 400 +/-). It is still in good mechanical and cosmetic shape but last year I did have to replace the engine; the old 8hp Kohler threw a rod through the block. I replaced it with an older 10 hp Kohler so I guess it could really be called a 108 now!

That is a great restore job. Very nice. Do you have any pictures of it with the Haban mower on it? That would be a nice set up. I'll bet it was popular at shows.

I like how your sickle bar mower still has the stickers on it. Looks like you did a great job restoring the 86 :D

I actually had 2 Habans over the years. I used one for quite a while when we first bought our farm. I'd mow along the driveway (1/3 mile) with it. I kind of wish I had kept at least one of them...

When I was big into the CC's a bunch of us had a "mow day" vs. the standard "plow days" most groups have. I brought the Haban to that and someone had taken some video of it in action but I have no idea where it is now.

Thanks for the pics with the mower. It must have been a great combination. I wish we could find a Haban to use at dad's place. It would be quite handy there.

That's a great idea, mow day. Really a neat idea!

Yah, it was kind of fun! I could probably host one now with all the hay field we have! LOL!

Nice looking tractor, I don't know anything about Cub but I like yours, and I would realty like to find a sickle mower for myself one day. Good stuff.
