Well I decided to keep my model D. I repowered it with a 5.5hp Briggs I/C from a Craftsman rototiller, sharpened the sickle bar, and greased everything. One question I have is how many pumps of grease should I put in the transmission? Now i'm looking for more attachments and tires

This Manual   http://gardentractor...-owners-manual/   says a few shots every 6 to 8 hours. You should download it. I have that sickle, it works well. Good Luck, Rick

Thanks Rick. The sickle is great. Anybody know where to find 4x12 lug tires? Or an alternative?

A set of 5 x 12 tires would probably fit and you can get them from ebay suppliers or Miller Tire for about $150 a set.

Thanks cpg. Also what throttle setting should I use for the sickle bar? I've been running it a hair above idle, will running this slow hurt the engine?
