This is sitting in my back yard.  It was here when i bought my house last year.  I've got a mower, one that won't give me tetanus.  I have don't know anything about these.  Can anyone share some info with me? Is it worth anything other scrap metal?  Thanks for the help.

It's a Gravely 408, and they are a tough little mower.

Simple Green, scrub brush, water, pictures, Craigslist, cash. Should be gone by 7 pm tonight.

Welcome to GTT. It is worth something. If its clean and looks good it will be worth more. If it runs, alot more. Its a very good brand. You can download the manuals   http://gardentractor...-owners-manual/   and  http://gardentractor...tor-parts-list/    to learn what you have.  Chances are the mice have a nest in the engine and maybe a wasp nest under the hood. Good Luck, Rick

Cool! Didn't know Gravely made 4 wheelers w/out engine in back.  I think it looks like lots of pontential if you wanted to fix it. If you're not a fixer,  take any offer to get it to someone who will take care of it.  I would look if not so far away.  Can you box it up and put in mail? :smilewink:

$50 is a very good deal for the buyer.  good deal for anyone really.  if you don't want to deal with it and they have the $50 than go for it, as others have said if you get it cleaned up and running it could be worth allot more.  gravelly makes a great machine and they are super reliable when fixed correctly.

And for comparison, at current PA scrap prices, it would be worth $23. Minus gas and labor getting it prepped and to the scrap yard.

$50 not bad, squeeze em for $75.

If it runs it's worth a couple hundred maybe.    . . . and you should already have a tetanus shot.

you and me both

If IL wasnt as far away, I'd take it off your hands so you'd have an empty spot there in your back yard

Around here that would go for better than 200, Heck I'd give 200 for it, but it's a long way from there to here. The shipping kills it.

Wow I'm going to start shipping my scrap to PA, I can only get 40 bucks a ton for steel.
