For 36,000 HP, I would expect a higher speed then 376mph but maybe it's just me.

Either way, it seems like a waste of fuel and resources.

In some MN counties, if you call 9-1-1 to report a fire that isn't one, you get to pay the bill for mobilizing the VFD.

"Oh golly, there's a huge plume of smoke over yonder there, don't ya know; but I don't have time to drive two miles out of my way to verify it's an actual fire before running my yapper. You betcha!"

I think those jets have a pretty slow take off. That's how they lose to a race to a quarter horse.

But it is so fun to watch!  I remember when I was a kid there was a guy with a Suzuki LT250R with a jet engine.  He would be at the monster truck rally every year in the early 90s.  That thing was so cool, shot huge flames and flat out screamed!

I did a google for it, found one similar but then I came across this!!

It sounds fully functional after reading the article.  The output RPM is 3600 to attach to the hydrostat drive.

That truck has been around in different configurations like "Bigfoot" for a long time. I saw it at the drag races back in the 1900's! It's pretty neat to see something that big going that fast. It does start slow but moves away at an unreal speed.

Wow! What are the odds?

This guy's rig was sitting in the local Sam's Club parking lot last evening.

One year at our county fair there was a guy with a mobility scooter with a turbine engine under the seat. It screamed! He said it would do 60 on the highway, but with that short wheel base I don't know how he controlled it.

Back in the 1900's I saw a "jet car" called Black Momba at Williams Grove Speedway as an after the races show. They chained a Ford Granada behind the afterburner and lit it off! What a show, that thing burned a hole clean through that car from the radiator to the trunk. The sparks set the grass infield on fire and burned the wiring for the track lights. It was a good thing the races were over.

My question is if this happens from time to time why doesn't the truck owner alert the local authorities that he will be washing the truck in case an emergency call comes in?
