The belt is only 80" not 82" I'm wondering what the reason for that was

i dont know but i owned 4 of these machines drive belt is 5/8 x 82 but like i said that belt looks thin like a 1/2 inch belt lol

Should be the correct one in my link, there's different ways to measure belts so that may be where the confusion is coming from

i got my numbers from manual lol. i got a ss15 manual and ss14 manual. both say same belt (because they are the same machine with different hp ratings lol)

just looked it up yea what i thought someone put wrong belt on it lol that gates belt is 1/2 by 80. go get the correct size and you will be good

Is that why I also got make sure nothing front me when I stop I hit the clutch in high 3rd it still goes a few feet

yes and make sure u got all belt guards too even one for engine

tec powered subs take 5/8 x 81 and the briggs take 5/8 x 82 because of the briggs sitting higher and further forward a little

http://www.ebay.com/... kevlar&_sop=15 just snoop around if u can buy off ebay lol. when you get a belt make sure its kevlar wrapped. also pix brand belts is what tractor supply carries a couple of these i seen are not 5/8 x 82 so becareful and read because you need 5/8 x 82.

looking good what color you use? i used cobalt blue mettalic on my 15 its darker than original lol
