I notice this engine is making a clunking noise when I turn the flywheel and the valves start to open. I never noticed that in the old engine could just be where it has no oil it yet ?

Clunking doesn't sound good. That is why I try and start my finds before I tear them down. Hopefully it will work fine when you get it together and some oil in it. I would suggest before actually adding gas, Spin it with the starter and spark plug removed to see if everything sounds alright.

If you watched the video from about 1:12 you can hear it when I turn the flywheel.

Don't see anything internal to be causing the problem must just be where it don't have oil. The valve are getting pulled this weekend cleaned and the guides checked.

Sounds like you have my luck!

I just got some truck parst of rock auto, supposedly "close out" of old stock. One looked used but it worked and was really cheap.

All left is to get the muffler and fix the leaking carb. Weather got me stuck in the house today.
