With all the moisture it took forever to get running so I order a Nova II electronic ignition module from eBay.

I think Jim ( sawdust) installed one of those on his SS15. Since his move, he hasn't been on much

It came in the mail today. I installed the wire from the mag to the points to the positive side and grounded the negative side but I got no spark at all.

Brandon, make sure that the points are completely out of the circuit. The wire that originally went to the points should go to the positive side of the nova module with no connection to the points at all. That is how mine works on a 16 hp Briggs. If that doesn't work, reverse the connections on the module.

That's great. You will like that ignition system. It throws a hot blue spark and makes starting so much easier.

I haven't started any of mine for a couple weeks now. Hopefully it will be nice enough to get them out of the shop tomorrow.

With all this rain probably going to be a lot of grass cutting in the near future.

Using Old Girl to tow the trailer around, picking up scrap wood. Planning on a small bond fire in a little while. She seems a little warm blooded as when I went to start her this morning (45* here) I had to use the choke, and cranked for about 3-4 seconds before she fired. (Normally it just takes touching the key for her to start).
