Gents, I finally found a photo of a decal that I need for the refurbishment of the HDT1000.

Unfortunately it isn't in the best of shape and some of it isn't readily readable.

Some of it is unreadable but I'm thinking that if you know German, French, or Swedish you can help me fill in the blanks.

Here's the decal in question.  I may be getting a bit higher resolution photo of it and might be able to post that if necessary.

Buzz, are you wanting to fill in the blanks on all three languages?
I would assume so as you want to make a reproduction decal. :D

Well, in German, the turtle would be langsam, and the rabbit would be schnell. :D :D :D

Yes sir, that is exactly what I want to do.

I have better pics and measurements for that decal.  A fells in Sweden was kind enough to take them for me.

This comes up when you put "come to a complete stop before shifting" into a translator. not exactly what is on the decal but some words look similar. what is the 4th language?

komma till en helt stilla innan växling  swedish

venir à un arrêt complet avant de passer    french

kommen zum Stillstand vor dem Schalten   german     vor dem Schalten (zum?) Stillstand kommen  possible decal wording

Hi Buzz,

can you plz pm me a bigger photo. I only can read

VOR DEM SCHALTEN ZUM ... STILLSTAND KOMMEN

The .... can be VÖLLIGEN (to make a sence), but it's to long.

Maybe this will be a better pic.

If not, I can email you the original which you can zoom in on without getting a lot of pixilation.

Being married to a French-Canadian gal has its merits!  :D

The French wording on that decal is as such:

ARRETEZ COMPLETEMENT AVANT DE CHANGER DE VITESSE

Translation: Stop Completely Before Changing Speed

Normally there would be accent marks above some of the letters in the French words, but not are apparent on that decal.  .....However, the spelling of the words is correct.

I'm pretty sure the 4th language is Swedish.

It looks like it says STANNA HELT FORE VAXLING
