Here's a trick I've used in sensitive areas on vine crap.

Small plastic bowl with a half inch of roundup in the bottom. On calm day, set next to weed and place the vine in the bowl and let it sit there all day. Remove from dish and watch it croak.

Now that just sick! You don't have to enjoy torturing them!

Another plant that is bad for me is gout weed(bishops weed)gout.jpg

Nothing kills it and it spreads underground. I've sprayed it with 2-4D, Round up and Treflan. It looks a little sad and that's all.

Another thing; the same chemical that the farmers and contractors use, is a stronger product than the homeowners get. That's because homeowners are know for "putting a little bit more" in the sprayer. We have to spray dandelions and ground ivy twice and wait a while. When I used the commercial stuff, it killed them first time, right now!

Error;      I'm sorry. This should have read Trimec, not Treflan.

The straight 2-4-D was outlawed some time ago.  What you get now is Lo-Vol 2-4-D which is much safer to use.  LiliesDad is right on that the stuff you buy at Wal-Mart etc. is not the same as what you get at your Ag-Chem company. Most of the Farm & Home stores sell to potent stuff as well as the spray bottle diluted stuff.

This works for any kind of weed out there, we use it all the time in the garden and it rarely kills your garden plants.

I added before and after pictures of our onions, as you can see it kills any and everything  you want.

So which Hoe did you use?

I used a (garden hoe) 70G (we have 3 of them) for the onions. We also have one (garden hoe) 75G. We also have 2 Scuffle hoes (80S). The scuffle hoes work like a cultivator, they slide right under the surface and take weeds out with ease. These hoes were the best investment I ever made, I would like to save up and buy more!.

This is the one I use on the onions http://roguehoe.com/...nhoes/70gs.html

The following is what my vines look like after a sniff of Round-up. That was 3 weeks ago.

This is what they start out as.

With my bad back this has been the best hoe I have ever owned.  :smilewink:
