Needed some rubber strip or such for on top of Horse dash where the hood sets down on it. Today found something from Stanley (the tool people) Called Flexi-felt. Biggest problem was it is white. Is 1" wide x 36" long and has sticky back. I got it and put on the tractor and works good. Can't see it much, hood is covering it. I think this would also work for the gas tank mounting I was asking about before. It is fairly thick, won't compress much like foam would. Not sure about the gas soaking into it tho. I also bought some weatherstrip in brown that is 1/2" wide and ribbed, self sticking. It also might work for gas tank mounting, it is more like rubber. Would have to put that on double to be wide enough. NOW, if both had been black, would have been neater.
Found some felt sealer tape

Wow! If black or even a medium sorta grey was available it would probably make great "window felts" for the door channel instead of paying way too much for resto parts for a couple GMC's I need something like that for. Wonder if it could be dyed and still remain soft?
