In the UK, TF and LF Bolens are difficult to source in any condition, especially original ones and in good working condition. As for attachments, apart from the tillers and mowing decks, they are very hard to get. When I look at your Graiglist and see how they are going for and in generally good condition I have to pinch myself.

Anyway, any Bolens saved or parted out to extend the working life of another Bolens is worth it in my opinion.

Aint that the truth Andrew, I only know of 2 in NZ (no doubt will be more than that about) but no one has ever heard of them really. All parts I have to get from the States and often the shipping is 3+ x the value of the part lol

Michael,

A mate of mine just picked up 11 Bolens from a collector in failing health, in the UK. They are in various condition and some came with some attachments. I believe he got 3 RAMs, a couple of round hood Bolens (a 1000 is one I think) and the rest are the TFs. Possibly a LF as well. From the same haul another mate got a G14 with a FEL.

Myself, I got a set of wheel weights and a round back tiller! I would have gone for a tractor myself but I am committed to the Bolens 600 and the Montgomery Wards tractor being imported to the UK.

Aren't you folks afraid that advertising rarity will only aggravate the pricing?

I'm not to worried about it myself, I have to misspell Bolens to find some bolen/bowlins/bollins/bolin stuff out there. I really enjoy it when they post a picture that has the correct spelling on it. I think some people are spelling it wrong on purpose, maybe the wife is making them try to sell.

That ad is from the Seattle area Craigslist near where I live. I came across it a few days ago but couldn't identify the red attachment. What is it?
