Keep looking found this 7 years ago. Had to drive 24 hours to get it. Love the attachments they do bring the tractors to life.

For those of us not in the know, what is it and who made it?

Looks to be a Hawk-Blt ground saw AKA a trencher.

Yes it is a ground saw trencher. It works good but last year one of the rear axles came out have not had a chance to look at it plus I'm worried I may have to take it off to get into gearbox. Very similar to the one that was rebuilt in garden tractor magazine.

Loads of wasted time searching the internet to find it. Great thing about it is if you found a ground saw trencher ( yes I know I said that like it would be easy) but the mounts to attach to the tube frame you could easily copy.

So is there a story behind this one? I love to hear it if there is one.  I have about owned cubs with the same ground saw on it I think the next one I wont pass up just so I can put it on one of my bolens.

Found it on ebay just had it listed as a 1050 never mentioned the trencher was in one pic and you could barely make it out. So yes I freaked out and asked the guy if I could call him which I did so as not to raise awareness to the trencher. Was in Georgia I'm near Chicago bid on it won it for $500 then sold it to the wife as a nice weekend away to Georgia oh and we need to pickup a tractor. Then we hopped in the truck broke many a speed limits to get there. Ate at a Waffle House. Guy said he bought from a guy that put sprinklers in. Not much other info came with it. If I remember right if it didn't sell he was going to scrap the trencher. But this was 7 -10 years ago. Back when Ebay was it.

Cool story and a great find!  Feel free to post about any other GT stuff you may have.    If you ever feel the need to get rid of it I have a very nice home for it.
