Duetz-Allis Starter

I have a Duetz-Allis 1918 that is going to need the starter replaced.  Can anyone tell me if the motor has to be lifted to do this?

Take the side panel off and the engine tins.I have a new starter if you need one.

I think I will be needing a starter but I am hoping to just need the drive end.  What's the price?
