Did Bolens build a Sears?

Just curious.  I know Sears didn't actually build lawn and garden equipment.  They had someone else do it and then sold it under their label.  Was Bolens one of the brands re-badged as Sears?

MTD was one of Sears big producers of GT's.

Not Bolens, but Roper was a manufacturer of a lot of Sears equipment.

Apparently they made something. Probably not a tractor.

Source code 358 is for "Bolens Product Division" according to:

Even J.I. Case and Ford were suppliers of items to Sears and Roebuck.

Thanks - I stand corrected.

 

I always think of Bolens while they were part of FMC Corp.  ....Perhaps the Bolens equipment for Sears was later vintage while under Troy-Bilt.

According to that list, it was 359:  

Probably tillers.
