Congrats on getting it running!!!

That wire is probably for the kill switch to ground out the ignition when turned off.

Thanks for the great video and congratulations on buying a great machine. I think Brian is right about the kill wire. Our Ride A Matic has a switch mounted on the dash to kill the engine. I'm not sure what was original. I liked seeing the fuel line on your tractor because ours came with rubber fuel line. Being made back in the 50's I thought it would have been different. Keep us updated on your progress.

The drive sistem is based off the Ridemasters that why you smash two pullys togather. :D

The green power rated belts you get at any hardware are the right belts for any garden tractor.

Its not that the idle is bad its just that I dont know where to mount the screw that it has where it looks like it would mount on something but i dont know where...not sure if it would get mounted on the hood thats missing or what...

I met the guy selling them he know his stuff on Ridemasters, Ride a matics, and walk behinds.
