Well I went up to kutztown, pa. for the auction at there fairgrounds this past saturday and there really wasnt much of anything or anyone there. After searching through the lawn and garden section for anything good and not seeing much we came up on the last row and to my surprise it came into sight.....a Bolens Ride a Matic.....So after seeing it was solid, had good compression, and had the wheel weights on it...I went right in the building and got a bidding number....and the rest is hisotry...Here she is...

Another good one to add to the collection. Really nice that it has wheel weights. Did some of the Rida-A-Matics come without a hood? Doesn't look like you would really have room to get one on there.

The weights you have are little bit rare to the weights with bolens casted in them.
Nice buy, but your going to have a hard and fun time looking for a hood a grill.
Whats the numbers on the tag on the frame in front of the seat? I can date it for you if you can read the numbers.

Awesome machine!
Congrats on getting it running!!!

That wire is probably for the kill switch to ground out the ignition when turned off.
