Got myself a new toy has some issues and it was sank into the ground and abused but it came 99% complete  so it was a gamble worth taking.

Issues i know of so far.

(1) The sickle is frozen i have the bar soaked in brake fluid and ATF to see if i can get it to brake free before i start taking it all apart.

(2) It's missing the lift link and one front support u but it came with one i should be able to make it with a vise

(3) The pulley for the sickle's drive is bent i can't imagine it's going to be terrible to match one up.

(4) Every bearing that it has needs to be replaced from the parts list i believe they are normal bearings that can be matched up.

(5) Needs a belt.

(6) Paint.

(7) Has the wrong PTO shaft i have a spare off a snow caster that will work.

Pics for now.

So did a little work and screwing around with this today. I was able to free the Sickle portion up needs new knives and knife holders i am going to have to figure out replacements for that stuff later on.

I changed the input shaft over to a correct bolens 3/4"x7/8" shaft.

I went' and bought 2 new pulleys took a while to figure out the correct placement as they were wrong when i got it.

Some good news in the jack-shaft bearings are fine and the wobble drive are as well so just the rod bearings will need to be replaced.

That is great. It looks to be in decent condition even before you started on it. I'm guessing this is for a tube frame tractor?

Thanks i wish i had the patience to paint it and really make it look good but maybe another time. The only thing i've found that can't be saved is the knife bar but thankfully Webbs sickle service make a reprodection bar for 100.

Got the mount i was missing made last night with the help of a co worker. I also made a no absorber for the back mount. I also swapped the the RR tire inside out to widen the stance. I did try it out i am going to need a new knife bar and clips but that can wait for now.

Took a few hours after work today to make an adapter so i could use the tractors lift. The interesting thing is the tractor will pick up and lower the sickle 100% of the way when the manual states you should have to switch holes as you go Oldbuzzard can you chime in?

In this picture you can see the lid the attaches to the sickle and you can see the hole above the bolt. In the Haban manual is says the bottom hole is from all the way up to about 60 Degrees when you need to switch to the upper hole and this will be the hole that lowers the rest of the way and for level mowing. I can lower and raise the sickle all the way in either hole it could just be the way haban wrote the manual just don't want to make sure i don't hurt the mower.
