Someone was looking for a replacement for a JAC-142054 Sleeve Assy.-Drive

I'm waiting for the parts to come in to complete the job to replace the original Non-greaseable light duty assembly with a heavier duty greaseable assembly

Here's what I intend to use (Buyers Part Numbers)

Input Yoke  A7413  (3/4" round bore 3/16 Keyway)

Slip Yoke    A7312   (3/4" Square Bore)

           Cross (Journal)  NB7A

I know for sure I will have to drill the input yoke for the 1/4" shear bolt, and I may have to shorten the square shaft slightly, but the result should be a part that will last forever, at less than 1/2 the price.

Welcome to GTT. Sounds like you are good at improvising. Checkout our Manuals Section for three free downloads per day. Please post pics of the new joints and how you modify them. Good Luck, Rick

Welcome to GTTalk!
Just for the record those shafts are not square.
They're 3/4" x 7/8"

I have found parts to replace the original with heavier duty components but it is $$$ about $150 total for the entire assembly, and you still need to cut it to length. But it will last as it is all Weasler 6N parts.

Damn! You are right, 3/4 x 7/8". A quick re-plan: Order  an A7412 end yoke (7/8" sq bore) in place of A7312 slip yoke. Cut original slip sleeve off at factory weld, weld to A7412 yoke, and assemble. I had originally thought of going this route with a Buyers 3/4"Rd x 3/4" Rd, light-duty, pin and bushing u-joint (identical to original Weasler). But I scrapped the idea, for fear of overheating the cross assembly while welding.

Well, now that I look at it again, I should have ordered a Buyers A7424 End Yoke, which is the perfect fit, and welded the factory slip sleeve to it. Wouldn't ya know, I didn't notice the rectangular bores until later.

Ok, cross 2000600-$13.18 yoke and shaft (3/4x7/8) 10000648-$45.71 ,pto slip sleeve-5100600-$34.39 weld yoke-3000600-$16.05 and lastly the 3\4"keyed yoke-8000612-$14.77
So all totaled $152.05 for a pto shaft or even a hydro drive shaft if need be.

I tried to change my order to a Buyers A7424 3/4" x 7/8". weld yoke this morning, only to find out it's discontinued. So, I'll carry on with the A7412 yoke (shimming for alignment on shaft), welding it to the salvaged slip sleeve.

I cross-checked all Skyrydr2's part numbers against paulb's on-line Weasler catalog, and agree with all items  Except the Shaft and Yoke. I cannot find a part # 10000648. I found a # 11000648 assy. but it didn't show shaft size, so I can't verify.

If I were to go that route, and had a Weasler supplier nearby, I would call for verification. Barring that, I would get out the angle grinder, salvage the old shaft, and weld it into an additional # 3000600 Yoke .
