I found this filter on pinterest. https://www.pinteres...97828689929760/ It looks like a beauty!

Unfortunately, it connects to an aquarium forum post dating 2009 and all the photos are Xed out. Can any of you hackers overcome this?

The photos were removed from photobucket I'd say they are gone forever.

The pictures were actually on imageshack, not PB.

 

If you're looking for a DIY canister, check out the King of DIY on youtube, he's got a good tube-canister build on his channel. I plan to build a moving bed sump someday using his design.

I came to this design through pinterest. They have some other tube canister designs, but they have a separate in line pump. The one I showed has one installed inside the canister somehow.

That would be cool, almost like a regular canister. I would imagine if you put one in the bottom connected to a hose, then you cof put screw type lid on it so you could remove if needed, reminds me of a well pump down a 6" pipe.
