I did tighten the shaft where it couples to the motor. I'll try to upload video.

The intake valve spring sits on the nut. The nut is tight to the shaft but the whole thing spins while goin up and down

It could be that something is worn, causing the noise. If your motor mounts are cracked or broken that can cause excessive movement in the engine and the driveshaft. The noise could be something on the engine or chassis vibrating.  Check the rear shaft coupler at the hydro input. That coupler can wear causing the input shaft to get worn. That 316 looks to be in very good condition!

The motor shakes pretty bad. The pin in the carb is split alittle right at the point. Like a small brass splinter? Is that bad?

Okay noticed a busted rear motor mount. I'm gonna fix that and see where I stand w noise.

That's it. Troubleshoot first, then buy parts. It can save you a lot of money. Trouble shooting. Is essentially free. It's just your time.
