Can anyone give me the measurement of the width of the front axle at the point where the mounting bolt goes through the frame to mount the axle to the tractor? I don't have one on me to get a measurement from. I only have 140s.

Michael:

Better late than never. Before I mowed today with my 318, I took the deck off, cleaned it out, and sharpened the blades. Warm day today in Rochester, over 80 degrees and quite humid, rain coming tonight and tomorrow. So I was able to get under the tractor and take measurements for the info you wanted

As near as I could measure it the distance between the two mounting brackets where the axle bolt goes through the axle is 3.25 inches.

I never realized before that the axle was that thick at the pivot point.

Hope that helps.

Harlan
