Well at about 12:30 this morning the Springfield came home. Took my daughter Lily along and we had a good time. The PO has a long driveway. I saw it as soon as I turned in and got a little misty. Its everything I could have hoped for and more. It has a factory implement hitch on the back. That's one thing My grandfather's didn't have.

The PO was very nice and helpful with loading it.  they where very pleased that it was going to someone that would appreciate it and get it back going again.

As for me I couldn't possibly be more thrilled. I'll get it going and use it around the house, all the while remembering my grandfather.

Also need to ID this briggs. Its probably going to need a rebuild. Any help there would be appreciated.

Couldn't part with it. It came with the tractor and it will stay with it.

What do you think about the year. 63 or 64.

Looks to be a 1963 model. I understand the hitch staying with it, even if you dont have any of the attachments, or do you?

Either way, if you ever do want to sell the hitch, find me first, I will not disappoint your wallet.

Also, any tech tips or small parts you need help on, give me a shout.

going to attach a plow to it. I was going to have to make the plow fit a sleeve hitch before. Now I will just make it fit this. Also looking at making a small pieces so I can pull a cart with it.

I have a ford plow with that type of hitch. Must be uncommon for a ford. Noel
