I was tooling along today in my Peterbilt, minding my own.  Meeting a school bus on a very narrow 2-lane, when BANG!

Some wise-guy threw an orange out of the bus.  If it'd have broken the windshield I'd have flipped around and pulled the bus over.  This truck has brand new windshields.  Luckily they held.

That could've been bad.
Orange you glad the window held?
Maybe the kid was trying to help... Thought you were running out of juice.

I bet his first job will be at an orange juice factory
But he will get canned because he won't be able to concentrate

Maybe the kid thought you were hauling oranges and needed another one?    :smilewink:

Needless to say it was a stupid thing to do on the kid's part.   :shoot2:   We've all been there but many of the children today never leave..   :wallbanging:

That's amazing as yesterday evening some one through an eaten Apple out of a car that narrowly missed the car in front. I wonder if your orange thrower got relatives in the UK? Seriously, damn dangerous thing to do.

Pretty stupid stunt! I'm surprised they would let kids get away with that. If you want to change the behaviour figure out which school the bus came from and file a complaint with the administration. You could do that directly or file a report with the local police. That actually may get more results.

Ditto.

At least, that should be done.

Better yet if you managed to get the bus #.

At least it was the other side of the windshield!  Definitely should be reported to law enforcement!

I thought the behavior police didn't allow kids to lower the windows.

Glad to hear both you and the truck are ok,that could very easily have gone bad. As has been said I'd definitely be giving the local school district a call. Even if you have nothing more than approximate time and the location that should go a long way in figuring out which bus it came from.

You never know a lot of school buses are video equipped, they just might catch the little punk!!

  • Gtractor said thank you
