In past made Plum and Pink B-80 for G-daughter.  NOW, wife wants one and it started out as a GT175 Black hood auto. Took the twin out, has single kohler now. SHE wants it to be Purple, but darker than the daughters.  I wanted to make black hood part silver or light grey when she wanted Metallic blue before, but she didn't like that. We went looking in stores for colors and found some multi-color purple flakey hobbie paint that went will with the Purple she picked and I said could make the Black area that color. Took them home, I sprayed some over the old paint for test. She LIKED it! Did look pretty compatible to me also. Only thing is the sparkle needs clear coat over it to be more durable says on can. Store had that too, and it will be rough finish there also then. Trying to get done by mid July for show, will keep updates.

Just say....."Destroyed another one" to me.  We can't all own the same ol' same ol', We like them different. No mower or anything else for it, it won't be working. Hitch to pull trailer is all it has.

Keep this up and you won't have to worry about getting out of the hobby.  Someone may kick you out!  Hope she likes it when finished.

Power-washed horse today, getting ready for purple paint. Didn't tear down all the way this time, kinda complicated build.

Before you squirt any paint' make sure the mount plate on the tranny doesn't have any cracks.

Glad you're making headway.
So, you're getting out... But the Mrs is getting in to the hobby? :poke:

Why don't you walk her through this and let her do the work?

Wheels not sure yet.  Thinking I can make the outsides sparkly stuff, but insides might be silver.  That sparkle not so durable, so not sure it is good choice for wheels. Mama said try it and she also said silver on insides.  SO.....might just do one and see how it looks before all of them. Maybe could do centers sparkly??  Just thought of that, hmm.

The 'Plum Crazy' Mopars had White decals. Maybe White for the wheels?

Lightly sand the lake with 1500 grit, then put on about 4-5 coats of clear, first real light, then medium wet, that will smooth the flake.
